Nestling in the verdant Axe Valley with the babbling River Coly flowing through its heart, Colyton just beckons to you to come visit with its wealth of impossibly tiny streets, interesting houses from medieval to modern and fascinating choice of shops, galleries and pubs.

The ancient market place is the focus when carnival comes to town in September.

The annual Christmas Fayre also takes centre stage here in early December. In fact, you’ll never be short of things to see and do in Colyton, as it can boast having one of the prettiest stations in East Devon with trams regularly departing to the Jurassic Coast town of Seaton, just three miles away along the stunning Axe Estuary, and if you enjoy the great outdoors then it can’t get any greater than here as there’s plenty of history and nature to explore, whilst taking a stroll in some of the most magnificent scenery Devon has to offer.
